What to do

For children, nearby Gulliver’s Land Theme Park Resort offers rides, shows and play areas. History lovers should check out Bletchley Park, the centre of Allied codebreaking during World War Two and just a short drive from the village. Alternatively, Linford Lakes Nature Reserve is hailed as the most biodiverse site in Milton Keynes and includes 37 hectares of open space to explore including woodland, a large lake and meadow areas. For nights out, Milton Keynes has an array of lively entertainment venues including a cinema, theatres, live comedy scene and the largest casino outside of London!

Milton Keynes has a great range of restaurants, cafés and pubs. For casual dining, Made in Sud Pizza is popular with locals, serving paninis, wine and, of course, a great selection of fresh pizza. Alternatively, Akasaka has a delicious menu of Japanese and Korean fusion. An international street food market runs daily in the town centre and offers a wealth of culinary delights from around the world including Greek, Lebanese and Caribbean cuisines.

Getting around

Travel is easy; there is a well-connected bus service for local travel in and around the area. Rail access via Milton Keynes Central Station provides direct connections to London Euston from just 33 minutes. Other destinations include Glasgow Central, Birmingham New Street, Northampton and Chester. For car travel, Wavendon is situated close to both the M1 and A5 for quick access to Luton Airport in around 30 minutes and Birmingham and Heathrow airports in less than an hour.

Education, education, education

Wavendon has a range of well-regarded schools in the area including St Mary’s Wavendon C of E Primary, Wavendon Gate Primary and Walton High. Nearby further educational institutions include Milton Keynes College and Cranfield University, which specialises in science, engineering, technology and management.
