Abbey New Homes are once again proud to support StrongMen and get behind this merited charity and their April 2022 ‘Weekender Retreat’. We believe in supporting national or local charities where you can and StrongMen is no different for us.
The StongMen ‘Weekender Retreat’ is a unique service set up by Dan Cross and Efrem Brynin, where groups of men have the opportunity to relax and enjoy beautiful remote surroundings whilst engaging in conversation and physical activities in a safe, secure environment with other men who have shared experiences.
We hope by sponsoring and supporting StrongMen we, along with others, can change lives and not just for those who take part but also their families.
The aim of StrongMen is to support men following a bereavement. We all know that grief can cause severe emotional and physical health conditions and sadly this is often overlooked when it comes to men.
The team behind StrongMen have experienced this first hand so decided to create these services to help men going through similar tough times.
Recently professional footballer, Troy Deeney, opened up and spoke about why he is proud to be an Ambassador for StrongMen. To see how StrongMen have helped others and for more stories like Troy’s, click here: https://www.strongmen.org.uk/about/blog/
Stephen Holbrook, Sales Director at Abbey New Homes says: “Mental health is more important than ever following the last few years. Dealing with emotion and managing the needs of those who need help can be challenging and we think that the team at StrongMen do a fantastic job to support men and indeed their families during bereavement. After seeing how good the charity was for one of our colleagues, we wanted to do our bit by sponsoring the April Weekender this year and hope that the support gives others sanctuary during their time of need”.
