Abbey has purchased a site near Manor Farm in Sittingbourne, Kent where outline planning permission has been granted for a new development of 50 homes.
The site is located in the popular Chestnut Street area, from where there is easy access to the M2 – ideal for commuters. There will be 45 homes available for sale, and five allocated for affordable housing.
Laurence Stimpson, Abbey’s head of land says, “We’ve built a number of developments in Sittingbourne over the past ten years, including a new scheme of 150 homes in the town centre. We’re very pleased to be returning to the town and we look forward to being a part of the Sittingbourne community once again.”
Abbey will be submitting a reserved matters planning application this summer to agree further details of development – it is hoped that work will start on site before the end of the year.
