Giving back to the communities in which we work is incredibly important to the team at Abbey New Homes and every year, we look for new ways to meet this commitment. In 2020, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day, we are delighted to be supporting the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal and service men and women.
As well as the Government’s Armed Forces Help to Buy, an interest-free loan scheme which can be accessed by services personnel to help them with a deposit or fees when purchasing a home, Abbey is offering additional incentives to all services personnel who reserve one of our homes in November. This could include free upgrades, contributions towards your stamp duty (if applicable) or furniture vouchers.
In addition, we’ll be fundraising across our developments. Visitors will be able to purchase their poppies and poppy pins at each of our sites and Abbey New Homes will be donating £7,500 to the appeal.
Stephen Holbrook, Sales Director at Abbey New Homes explained: “The Poppy Appeal is at real risk because of the pandemic. The many volunteers who fundraise on behalf of the British Legion are unable to take part and as a result, we felt that our support this year would be especially helpful. As well as making our own donation, we’re encouraging all our customers, friends and families to give generously.
