Land has been acquired with outline planning permission for 240 new dwellings and forms part of the Wixams Masterplan. Wixams is situated three miles to the south of Bedford and is set centrally between the A1 and M1 corridors providing easy and fast access to London and the south, as well as the north. London is only a 45 minute train ride from Bedford’s main line railway station. Cromwell Place is the marketing name for village 3, one of four villages within Wixams, and compromises approximately 1500 dwellings spread over five different plots. Plans will shortly be submitted for a mix of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments as well as 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes. The proposals will follow a Design Code which aims to give the development its own market town identity and sense of place.
