Travel Times
Whether time is short or the days long and leisurely, there is plenty of interest in the wider area, not least because the Surrey/Sussex border boasts more than its fair share of stately homes and grand gardens, such as Penshurst Place, Groombridge Place, and Chartwell. More locally, there is the British Wildlife Centre, where our native wildlife can be seen close up, Godstone Farm and Ashdown Forest Llama Park, both popular destinations for families. Hedgecourt Lake, an ancient millpond rich in wildlife. And of course, a stroll around Felbridge, with its 16th and 18th century buildings, historic church, Grade II listed primary school building and recreation ground, will always be a pleasure.
